War Department Bench Mark on lower part of an old pathway wall in Shannonbridge, Co. Offaly. Across the river from the Old Fort. Can make out the letters WD with an arrow in between the letters. Also numbers below the letters. Can make out No 11. Definitely a pathway or road as the original stone walls are there and intact, leading down to the Shannon banks behind the Main Street. |
